Privacy Policy

How Impulsum handles personal information across our website and digital products.

Effective date: 17 July 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Impulsum Technologies Private Limited and its affiliates collect, use, share, retain, and protect personal information through https://impulsum.ai and related Impulsum products and services. Our Restaurant POS launch offering is currently intended primarily for business customers in India.

A business using Impulsum POS controls the customer and staff data it enters into the product. Impulsum processes that data to provide and support the service, subject to the customer's instructions and applicable law.

2. Information we collect

  • Account and business information: name, work email, phone number, company, restaurant details, billing address, role, and account preferences.
  • Product data: menus, orders, staff records, customer details entered by the merchant, receipts, tax settings, operational notes, and support requests.
  • Payment information: transaction references, payment status, amount, and masked payment details supplied by an authorised payment provider. We do not ask for your card PIN, UPI PIN, CVV, net-banking password, or mobile banking password by email, phone, or chat.
  • Technical information: device and browser details, IP address, diagnostic logs, security events, feature usage, and cookie or similar technology data.

3. How we use information

  • create, authenticate, and administer business accounts;
  • provide POS, onboarding, billing, support, and related product functions;
  • process transactions, reconcile payment status, and prevent fraud;
  • protect the platform, investigate incidents, and enforce our terms;
  • improve product reliability, accessibility, usability, and performance; and
  • comply with tax, accounting, legal, and regulatory obligations.

Where consent is required, you may withdraw it by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed and may limit Services that require the relevant information.

4. When we share information

We share information only as reasonably necessary with authorised service providers such as cloud hosting, authentication, monitoring, communications, subscription billing, and payment-processing partners. Payment providers process payment credentials under their own privacy policies.

We may also disclose information to professional advisers, corporate affiliates, or public authorities when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate fraud, or in connection with a lawful business reorganisation. We do not sell personal information.

5. Storage and security

We use reasonable technical and organisational controls designed to protect information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These include access controls, tenant-aware permissions, encryption in transit, logging, and service-provider security controls. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Data may be processed in India and in other locations where approved service providers operate, with safeguards appropriate to the service and applicable law.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain business and security records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. A business administrator may request account closure or deletion by contacting us. We may delay or limit deletion where records must be retained for pending claims, payment reconciliation, tax, audit, or other lawful purposes.

De-identified or aggregated information may be retained for analytics, product improvement, and research where it no longer identifies an individual.

7. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal information associated with you. Business users can update many account details within the product. We may verify a request before acting and, for merchant- controlled POS data, may direct the request to the relevant merchant.

You may opt out of non-essential marketing communications using the unsubscribe control in the message or by contacting us. Essential account, security, billing, and service communications cannot always be disabled while an account remains active.

8. Cookies and third-party links

We use necessary cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, language, preferences, and site operation. Analytics or optional technologies are used in accordance with available consent controls. Third-party websites and services are governed by their own privacy practices.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect product, provider, or legal changes. Material changes will be communicated through the website, product, or other appropriate channel. The effective date above identifies the current version.
